• Where do you rehearse?
o The band have their own room at Eyres Monsell Primary School, Simmins
Crescent, Leicester, Leicestershire, LE2 9AH
• When do you rehearse?
o We have a rehearsal once a week, on Tuesdays at 7.45pm until 9.45pm.
There are more rehearsals scheduled around contest and concert dates
however these are always announced with plenty of notice.
• Can I come down to a rehearsal?
o Yes, please do. We welcome any potential players to come and see what
the band are all about and how rehearsals are structured.
• Do you have many band socials?
o The band consists of very busy people but we do have gatherings every
now and again and the coach journeys around the country make way for a
lot of ‘getting to know each other’ time.
• How do I book you for a concert?
o Please get in touch with us via the details on the ‘Contact’ page. We
are always very eager for new platforms to perform where it is possible.
• Do you have any vacancies?
o Please visit the ‘Vacancies’ page to keep up to date with the free
seats in the band.
• Can I be one of your deps?
o If you feel you can’t commit to us all year round do still get in
touch. Although we have a very committed band there are occasionally
seats which need filling for the odd performance which we will quite
happily fill with a player who can attend a few rehearsals and plays at
a good standard.
• Who are your sponsors?
o Our sponsors are Foresters Friendly Society and they have been since
1957. If you would like to find out more about them please visit

• What are the members of the band like?
o The band is generally quite a young band with many members being
between 18 and 40 and there is an equal mixture of male and female. Some
are studying and some have everyday jobs but all enjoy playing with the
band.
• Would I fit in?
o Yes. Not many people have not fitted in over the years.
• Do you compete at contests?
o Yes, we compete in as many as we can – for more details on this visit
the ‘Contest Results’ page and our ‘Diary’ page.
• How many concerts do you do?
o This can vary, we support our sponsors at many concerts throughout the
year along with a few other annual concerts. However we are always being
approached to do new concerts and where we can we will always do these.
• Do you have any band instruments?
o There are a few instruments that belong to the band but these are
usually in use by current players.
