Foresters Brass head down BR-116

This weekend, Foresters Brass will head out to Long Buckby, Northamptonshire, to support and host an evening dedicated to the work of the Meninadanca charity, an outfit helping girls in Brazil who's lives have been plighted by sexual exploitation, particularly those living along the BR-116 highway. Communities around the area are so poor that many girls will turn to sex work to attempt to earn a living. This is rarely the case, so the charity is stepping in to prevent and offer support to those affected by the events along the route.

Foresters Brass long term Horn player Paul Speed-Andrews was contacted on behalf of the Long Buckby & Brington Baptist Church to aid in creating an annual concert for the benefit of the charities supported. The Minister, Nathan Toseland, is also a musician. Having played in Brass Bands for a number of years, Nathan stepped back from the Horn in order to focus on the Church and his demanding schedule. This concert means that Nathan can once again dust off his mouthpiece and join alongside Foresters Brass!

Foresters will be performing a firm audience favourite selection, with such highlights as Glorifico Aeternum, Sway and Breezing Down Broadway. This promises to be a fantastic evening in support of a charity making real change in the world and the lives who need it most. Please come and contribute to the evening with your attendance!
