New signing at Foresters...

Brand new shiny player! Foresters are pleased to welcome our new Solo Euphonium player Ben Smith to our line up. Ben rejoins from the Virtuosi GUS band, having spent a couple of years with the Midlands Championship Champions on the Percussion team.

Ben Smith joins the team on Solo Euphonium

Ben has harboured a passion for the Euphonium, and the talented youngster is currently sitting on Euphonium, Percussion and soon Trombone with the hugely successful Youth Brass 2000 as well as Northampton County Youth Brass Band. Ben commented, "I am very excited to be given the chance to develop and to show what I can do on the Euphonium. I've spent two great and successful years with the Virtuosi GUS band and thank them for their support on my appointment. Taking up the Solo seat will be a challenge, but it's great to know I have the backing of the MD and of the players. I already have many friends here, having been with Foresters previously, so returning on this seat is a great feeling." Foresters Brass MD John Davis was thrilled with the new signing, "I'm delighted and excited to welcome such a talented player returning to the band. He has already stamped his quality on the position." Ben's first job will be at Husband's Bosworth Church this Saturday at 19:30. Welcome to the band Ben!
