A Tale Now Told

Yesterday the band took to Bedworth Civic Hall to perform Philip Sparke's 'A Tale as yet Untold' against the 10 other bands in the Midlands Championship section. We were given draw number 4 (lucky for us last year!!) so were feeling calm after our rehearsal...many bananas were consumed.

After many intense weeks of rehearsals, sectionals, and a concert, the band pulled out an impressive performance and were awarded 7th place. This keeps our place in the championship section secure! The comments from the adjucators particularly praise our superb soloists. Congratulations to Ethan, Calum, Phoebe, Paul, Jimmy, Will, Charlie, and Luke-the band are extremely proud of you all.

The band would also like to thank Gareth Brindle who worked with us on this extremely challenging piece-it was a pleasure to play under his direction. He pushed the band to reach our furthest potential, with humour and dedication.
